Settling in Nashville

Wow y'all, what a crazy, stressful, difficult 8 weeks. The whole traveling thing is pretty dang great most of the time, but let me tell ya, it's handed us our hineys (not a word I guess). We LOVE living in our new home but it has been a HUGE learning curve. That, along with an unplanned month off, car trouble in OKC, a dead smoking car in Little Rock, and then having to trade in said dead car and buy new used car from 5 hours away has completely maxed out my stress-o-meter. We finally arrived in Nashville the day before I was supposed to start. As it would turn out I didn't get the call to start until Thursday at noon and I went in that night for my first shift. I haven't worked nights in about three years and am driving the night shift struggle bus. The shift itself at the hospital is fine. My mind and body just do not deal. I'm surviving (I realize this is a first world problem, yes I'm thankful I have a job) but I'm sure Ryan would appreciate all the positive vibes. Between my grumpy pants, snaps, and lightening speed mood swings he probably feels like he's going crazy too! Haha! 😆

Bright side to OKC was getting to see our friend Katie and our buddies Kevin, Jen, and their kiddos.

It was such a relief to finally get settled where we were going. But we still didn't have a car :/ Look at our sweet spot though! Nestled right in the back with the other full-timers. We've already met so many of our neighbors. One of which is a fellow traveler!

June's still getting used to all the new sounds that come with living within very thin walls and having a squeaky chair. Anytime Ryan sits in one of the captain chairs she immediately starts vibrating.

Meet the new car, it doesn't have a name yet but it's definitely a boy. It's no Escape. I'm still adjusting. I didn't get to say goodbye to MY car. But this one works so I can't complain. It also gets like 36 mpg.

Our first outing to celebrate Jess's birthday! Pizza, beer, and fireworks!

Free entertainment in Nashville-visit the Gaylord Opryland. It the largest hotel in the country not attached to a casino. It was uh-mazing. That water fall was indoors and 6 stories tall!

Ryan has already found and started a job. He's been working at Music City Escape Rooms for about a week now and he loves it. We're both really looking forward to getting to see more of Nashvegas. If anyone wants to come visit we've got space for 5more! 3 comfortably :)

Well, I'm gearing up to start my stretch on tonight so I guess I'm gonna hit the hay since it's 6am and all. My hats off to all you nightshifters!!
